Your career is calling. Answer it.
Colorado’s economy is booming. Construction is thriving. But here’s the thing: there aren’t enough skilled trades people to fill all the positions – the demand is high and the supply is low.
If you are serious about a career in the trades, don’t pass up this opportunity! Take advantage of our tuition-free, 6-week pre-apprenticeship program – it’s the perfect chance to explore the trades and build the career you’ve always wanted.
Your first step to a rewarding career in the trades:
Explore carpentry, electricical, plumbing, HVAC, and more. Go on field trips, visit job sites, hear from experienced journeymen, and be guided every step of the way by our instructional coaches – all to give you a well-rounded experience as a pre-apprentice while providing you with the knowledge and certifications required to begin an apprenticeship in the trade that’s right for you.

Timeline
Interview
Once you apply, a MAP representative will reach out to schedule a call. During this conversation, we'll get to know you better, answer any questions you have, and provide all the information you need to be prepared for the program
Orientation
Orientation takes place on the Friday before your session begins, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. During this time, you'll meet your fellow students and coaches, get acquainted with the MAP facility, and learn more about what to expect throughout the program. This day is designed to ensure you're fully prepared and excited to start your journey with us.
Week 1
Classes begin! A typical day consists of two classes in the morning, followed by a lunch break, and then hands-on workshop time in the afternoon. Your coaches will be there every step of the way, providing guidance and support to help ensure your success.
Weeks 2-5
Classes continue, and we'll incorporate visits to active construction sites, giving you the chance to observe professionals in action. You'll see what apprentices and journeymen do, hear valuable insights from foremen, site managers, and HR directors, and gain a true sense of what these careers are like through firsthand experience.
FIT (Final Interview Training)
Before you graduate, we’ll schedule a series of mock interviews to help you practice speaking with HR representatives from companies you’re interested in. You'll refine your ability to ask and answer questions and learn how to present your resume effectively. This experience will build confidence, ensuring you approach post-graduation interviews with enthusiasm and poise. (psst… Some of our students are even offered jobs during these interviews!)
Week 6
In the final week of the program, you'll complete your classes and earn your OSHA 10 certification. We’ll also work with you to develop a plan for your next steps, including identifying the companies you'll contact for apprenticeship opportunities.
Graduation
Following the end of week 6, we hold our graduation ceremony. This is your moment to reflect on all that you’ve accomplished and to celebrate with family and friends!
Ongoing Success Coach
MAP is committed to supporting our graduates beyond our program. All MAP graduates have access to our Success Coach, who provides career and life counseling as they navigate their apprenticeships and build their careers.

MAP students start learning from Day 1 – not many entry-level apprentices can say that. Plus, our partnerships with quality companies in Colorado’s construction industry mean you’ll have an advantage to obtain interviews with them and begin your career upon graduation.
MAP has built a solid reputation for over a decade with the community and industry leaders who have come to depend on our consistent and reliable pipeline of pre-apprentices to become part of their company. This foundation for success, this bridge to the trades, will make you a pre-apprentice today, a quality apprentice tomorrow, with the skills and knowledge to obtain your journeyman’s license and earn a 6-figure career.
For you, it’s free. For our corporate partners, it’s an investment.
Construction companies have traditionally invested considerable time and resources in training new employees. But by partnering with The Master’s Apprentice, companies can stay focused on their current projects while we prepare our graduates with the skills they need to hit the ground running from Day 1. It’s a win-win situation.
On top of this, thanks to our volunteer instructional coaches, donations and grants, we can provide tuition-free education to individuals from low-income backgrounds who may lack access to such opportunities.
We are truly grateful for the contributions of both our Corporate Partners and Volunteer Instructional Coaches in helping prepare our students for greater futures.
Kick starting careers. Changing lives.
